DiLog works most comfortably with boats that have an NMEA 2000 network. This applies to most modern sailing and motorboats. Older systems are also supported via an optional NMEA 0183 adapter.
Yes, you can use DiLog even without an NMEA 2000 bus. The data logger reliably records GPS data (position, course, and speed) without an NMEA 2000 connection, allowing you to use the core functions of DiLog as well.
Yes, our data logger is required for automatic trip recording and data collection. It is simply integrated into your NMEA 2000 network and is ready to use in a few minutes.
Yes, the data logger records all data and stores it locally. Once mobile reception is available again, the data is synchronized with the cloud. This also applies to voice entries that can be recorded directly in the app – even without an internet connection.
You can record voice entries directly in the app. Once your smartphone can establish an internet connection, these recordings are automatically uploaded and converted to text so they appear in your logbook.
All data is securely and permanently stored on European servers at Hetzner in Germany. You retain full control over your data. Additionally, we rely entirely on in-house developed software and consciously avoid third-party providers to ensure maximum security and data protection.
